Things on my mind Friday.....

This week has been oh my gosh long. We all have felt it. J is working like 14 hour days, first full week of school for kids, first week of assignments for me, first week back to working out....regularly, and first week of training with the girls. I am exhausted, the laundry has piled up, I have not got much homework done, and I did not even managed to cook that much. I completely lost yesterday. See I was kidnapped. eh hem. But my two lovely friends and taken to T town. Where I spent a lovely day chatting, shopping, and eating more sushi then humanly possible. There was also some pomegranate wine in there as well as hitting Bambi and his mom on the way home. NO before you get all in a rage the wine is completely seperate from the deer incident. But none the less, it was an interesting day and I throughly enjoyed it and needed it. Hope to get kidnapped again real soon.

Alas, it is Friday and therefore I have a busy day today getting all the kids to their respective parents and J and I are looking forward to a weekend to relax, hang with friends, run(that would just be me), and get some alcohol consumed. I bought some rather interesting bottles of red yesterday and look forward to trying them!

I have been doing tons of reading this week though and have lots of thoughts in my head. I will fill you in. To start with the fill ins though, here is

1. The lesson I learned yesterday was that I really need to get out of the house and have some girl time.....I have missed it.
2. Apparently T town this week is where friends and family meet.
3. All these years I have wondered why I did not put my big girl panties on and deal with it .
4. No one knew what to expect when I arrived.
5. The truth is we really our the people our parents warned us about.
6. Cold, Trails, and you is what I remember most from that day.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to making it home hopefully without hitting deer, tomorrow my plans include running and tomorrow night..."is gonna be a good night" and Sunday, I want to recover from Saturday night! ha!

Now for my own fill ins......
I've have lots of thoughts on this very long week.
Here goes
1. I am definetly planning another abroad trip. This time I want Ireland and Scotland. I think possibly next summer. Jamie I need you......and your kilt. Speaking of which...I have got to get you back out....where are you?"DA MI BASIA MILLE"
2. I am reading "Put your big girl panties on and deal with it" and I love it. LOVE IT.
3.I probably should of thought 5 classes this semester but I will make it though....always do.
4. Really think I am going to continue online as long as possible. Its easier for me and cheaper. Also as far as school goes. Think I have figured out the correct direction for me and its further than a Bachelors.
5. This guy(link) makes sense and I can't wait for every post. I want to channel his energy!
6.I am needing the book Happiness Project....still have not ordered it.
7. I have some crazy directions and opportunities here and its going to be a fun ride.
8. I am falling in love with my running again.....and guess what? Im good at it!
9. I still hate laundry and it does not bother me a bit that J forbid me to do his again. Fine by me, Less I have to do.
10. I kinda like having TV again. Its been years since I have and while I absolutely loved being unplugged, there are some shows I really like. Chef Ramsey rocks and the other night I made angel hair pasta with olive oil, red peppers(which I picked off but its all about flavor people), and shrimp. It was divine and I bet it tasted just as good as his. Maybe.
11. The new Jimmy Buffett album is really good and I am loving Life Short Call Now......What if we all lived by that motto?
12. pssssss........Im going to Mardi Gras in Mobile! Hooty Hoo! I can not wait to ride you like a float and eat you like a moonpie!
13. I am so ready for this....come on already.

Oh you are going to look so pretty covering up my moon on my shoulder! Perfect!

14.All my life I had been looking for something, and everywhere I turned someone tried to tell me what it was. I accepted their answers too, though they were often in contradiction and even self-contradictory. I was naïve. I was looking for myself and asking everyone except myself questions which I, and only I, could answer. It took me a long time and much painful boomeranging of my expectations to achieve a realization everyone else appears to have been born with: that I am nobody but myself. ~Ralph Ellison, and yes I have read Battle Royal. While I did not care for the short story this quote is powerful!

15. I know everyone here is really tired of the beach because we live so close but gosh darn it......I am not! I am going and I am taking my two barefoot children with me. We are sitting our bums in the sand as much as possible this summer. So if you need me thats where I will be. I am sure other trips will take place, I need a real good road trip to nowhere but beach.....yeah thats me all over the place.

Okay......filled in. Going to go back to laundry(gag) and homework. Only got a few precious hours before kiddos are out.
